How does Thursday Night Wine Club work?
We hand-select 4-5 bottles of wine to share with our members four times a year (October, December, March, May). You’ll receive your shipment of wine, either mixed or reds only, along with a QR code. You’ll use your smart phone to scan the QR code, which will take you to a personalized webpage filled with information about your wine – tasting notes, recipes we think we heighten your wine drinking experience, a playlist for your perfect Thursday night, and more. Offerings on your landing page will change with each shipment.
How do I use a QR code?
QR codes are basically a barcode that you scan with your smartphone! Simply open your phone’s camera and hold it over the QR code. A blurb will pop up on the top of your phone, which you will then click on to access the landing page. If this doesn’t work, no worries, we will also provide the webpage url with the QR code.
What are the benefits of being a Thursday Night Wine Club member?
Thursdays are fun, and we want to help you celebrate and enjoy these everyday moments. By becoming a member, you’ll receive access to 4-5 wines in your quarterly shipment that we think you’ll love at a flat rate of $99. Your shipment will include access to additional information about how to best enjoy and experience your shipment, from recipes, wine information, and a curated playlist to elevate your Thursday nights. Look out for pop-up events hosted throughout the US to celebrate Thursdays together!
I love that you provide a playlist in each shipment, but don’t love the music for this month. Are there other options I can listen to?
We totally understand everyone has different music needs – maybe it’s your best friend’s birthday and you need 90s anthems to reminisce on while popping champagne, or maybe it’s a rainy Thursday night and you’re questioning if wine and pizza go best together at breakfast, lunch or dinner. We get it. You need options, which is why we provide additional playlists on our Spotify profile, “Thursday Night Wine Club”. Simply type “Thursday Night Wine Club” into the search bar, and make sure you’re searching under “Profiles”. Click on our profile name and you’ll see our different playlists for all of your listening needs!
What are pop-up events, and how do I attend?
Pop-up events are our way of making Thursdays fun. You will receive an email with event details when we come to a city near you!
How much does it cost to join the Thursday Night Wine Club?
There is no cost to join!
How much does my wine club shipment cost?
We’re committed to making sure you receive quality wine you’ll love. Each shipment is $99.
When can I expect to be billed for my Thursday Night Wine Club shipments?
Quarterly memberships bill in October, November, March and May.
What states can you ship club shipments to?
Due to legal restrictions, we are only permitted to ship wine to the following states: AK, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IA, KS, KY, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VT, VA, WA, WV & WI.
How long does my membership last?
For as long as you love your subscription, with the minimum of 2 shipment.
How will I know when I will be charged?
You will receive an email notification 10 days prior to the billing of your shipment. After billing you will see a charge from TheWineShop.com on your statement.
How much will I be charged for shipping?
Shipping is a flat rate of $15/per shipment.
I have been charged for my club shipment; when will I receive it?
You will be charged for your release the day it ships out. For most of the West Coast, wine shipments are delivered 1 to 2 days later. For East Coast addresses, wine shipments are delivered between 5 to 10 days later. When your release is shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information.
How can I make changes to my wine club membership?
Please visit your account page or you can give us a call at (800) 255-9966 Monday – Sunday 9am - 6pm PST to update your account information over the phone.
How do I cancel my membership?
You may cancel your membership after 2 shipments have billed by logging into your Account page, then clicking “My Wine Clubs” and “Manage Subscription”. We hate to say goodbye, but wish you very fun Thursdays!
What happens if my wine club shipment is shipped back?
The shipping service we use will make three delivery attempts before returning the wine to us. If the wine is returned to the winery, we can reship the order for a $15 fee. We suggest that you provide an address that will assure you receive the delivery, such as a place of business, with someone over the age of 21 present to sign for your order.
What if I end up with a corked or damaged bottle?
In the unlikely event that a bottle arrives damaged or corked (we inspect the wines incredibly closely before shipment), notify us as soon as possible so we can rectify the problem for you at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I skip or postpone a club shipment?
Yes. You will receive an email notification 10 days prior to billing, and at this time, you can choose an alternate shipping date or to skip the shipment altogether. You must take a minimum of two shipments per year to maintain an active status and your benefits.
