Full-bodied, the palate is elegantly balanced with flavors of blackberry, black currant, and espresso while hints of violet and graphite showcase the Rutherford terroir. Made using the best fruit from the winery’s original estate vineyard, Winston Hill, situated on the eastern side of Napa Valley’s Rutherford appellation along the Vaca Mountain range. The hand-terraced vine rows have southwestern exposure and well-drained volcanic and sandstone soils that rise nearly 500 feet above the valley floor.
