“Peach, lemon-curd, green-apple and wet-stone aromas. It’s medium-to full-bodied with crisp acidity and a creamy, fruity finish. Nice hints of vanilla here. Drink or hold.” - James Suckling, January 2021

Wine & Vintage Details

Tasting Note

A lovely pale gold color leads to fragrant aromas of orange blossom, floral notes and ripe apricot with a hint of spice. Spirited in the glass, crisp and refreshing with racy acidity and flavors of green apple, citrus, white grapefruit and apricot with almond and spice rounding out the palate, there’s a slight minerality in the surprisingly round and full mouthfeel, leading to a lingering finish.

Vintage Note

Record rainfall in winter and May showers filled the aquifers and refreshed soils while a cooler than normal spring slowed down growth. The summer was long, warm and even with very few extreme heat spikes allowing the grapes to ripen slowly while preserving freshness and aromas. The growing season ended on a high note with a mild September allowing a slightly longer hang-time for the grapes to develop full flavor and optimum balance.
